Christiane Heisse and Stefan Ouma attend the Summer Institute in Economic Geography
From July 5th to 10th, Christiane Heisse and Stefan Ouma attended the most important summer school in our field: The Summer Institute in Economic Geography. Held at the University of Toronto, and co-organized by Sergio Montero Munoz, Michelle Buckley and Jamie Peck, the Summer Institute featured intense debates on a wide range of economic geography topics, and a stellar fieldtrip to Toronto’s “Little Jamaica” and redevelopment zones around the harbour area. Christiane contributed to panel discussions on "Theorizing in and with Economic Geography" and "Careers in Economic Geography". Stefan gave a plenary talk on “Problematizing the Asset Form: A Global Synthesis”, alongside the other keynote speakers Devika Narayan, Lars Koenen and Karen Lai. More information can be found here.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible, including the University's Servicestelle Chancengleichheit for financial support towards Christiane's participation.
