You can also contact us with your own topic suggestions. If you would like to write a thesis at our department, you should proceed as follows:

First, make an appointment for a consultation hour for an initial thematic discussion (for consultation hours, see the websites of the respective supervisors).
Following the discussion, prepare a five- to six-page exposé (B.Sc./M.Sc.). Please base the exposé on the resource "Final paper as project". [Download]
After the discussion of the exposé, you can formally register your thesis at the office of the Chair of Economic Geography with Ms. Barbara Keck
After the discussion of the exposé, you also choose a second reviewer. This person should belong to another department. The second examiner reads and evaluates your work. As a rule, there is no supervision of the content. After consultation with the first supervisor, write an email to the potential second supervisor in which you introduce your project in a few sentences, give a title and your time schedule and ask for the second supervisor.
